About Me
Approach to Therapy
As a therapist, I’m committed to providing a warm and supportive space where you can feel safe to explore your inner world, understand yourself on a deeper level, and achieve your goals. My focus is on nurturing self-compassion, empowering you to embrace your strengths and be a "good friend" to yourself.
In our sessions together, we'll collaborate to identify what you'd like to achieve in therapy. I'll offer compassionate support and practical tools to help you navigate life's complexities, gain valuable insights, and build a more fulfilling life. My approach is grounded in genuine connection, I am authentic and fully present with my clients in each session. I use a non-judgmental, anti-oppressive and trauma-informed lens in therapy and am proudly LGBTQ+ affirming.
My approach incorporates a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Executive Functioning Coaching, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). For couples, I utilize the renowned Gottman Method to support the development of stronger, more resilient relationships.
Education and Background
I received my master’s in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work in New York City and I received my bachelor’s in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
I began my career in research, working in neuroscience and cognitive psychology labs at both MIT and Northeastern University. While I loved research, my passion for clinical work led me to direct client care in hospital settings. I began my clinical work in an inpatient psychiatric unit, followed by experience in day programs serving individuals with mental illness and physical disabilities. This work deepened my commitment to advocating for accessibility and inclusivity for those living with disabilities, mental illness and chronic illness. Prior to establishing my private practice, I honed my skills as a therapist in group practice settings, where I also served in operational leadership roles, including Operations Manager and Security & Compliance Officer.

We May Be a Good Fit If:
You are feeling chronically overwhelmed, out of touch with yourself and in a constant state of “fight or flight.”
You’re often too hard on yourself and want to build self-confidence.
You’re first generation American and want to explore how this impacts your mental health and well-being.
You want to better understand yourself, your role in relationships, and explore beliefs you may have about relationships.
You enjoy working with therapists who are engaged, genuine and relational.
We May Not Be a Good Fit If:
You are experiencing symptoms that require a higher level of care, this includes active suicidal ideations, schizophrenia and related disorders, eating disorders, hallucinations, active substance abuse or active thoughts of violence. For these symptoms, I recommend treatment at an inpatient or structured outpatient program before starting psychotherapy. You can learn more about these programs here.
You are not residing in New York. I am licensed in the state of NY, meaning you will have to be located in NY for our sessions (even if they’re virtual).
